It’s Pixel season, which is now apparently in August since Google shifted its release schedule ahead last year.
Whether it’s to get the jump on other manufacturers or take advantage of high summer spending, all we know is that the next crop of Google devices is right around the corner. And the harvest is looking questionable.
It wouldn’t be Pixel season without a flood of leaks, so we have a pretty good idea of what we can expect from the Pixel 10 Pro when it’s announced at Made by Google on August 10.
You can join in on the official livestream to get the full picture, but here’s everything we know about the Pixel 10 Pro so far.
Google Pixel 10 Pro: Design, specs, and price
Google changed the Pixel’s iconic camera bar to a pill shape with the Pixel 9, and it’s carrying on with this trend for the Pixel 10 series, including the Pixel 10 Pro.
Thanks to renders published by OnLeaks and Android Headlines in March, and images from Mystic Leaks on Telegram in June, we can see that the Pixel 10 Pro is nearly identical to last year’s models.
If you’re struggling to identify the difference between the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro, you’re not alone.
The SIM slot has been moved to the side with a speaker or microphone cutout in its original place. The bezel around the rear camera glass is slightly smaller, and the whole phone is 0.1mm thicker.
Google didn’t keep the same measurements as the Pixel 10 Pro, so it’s unlikely you could reuse your Pixel 9 Pro case, but the tolerance may be the same.
The Pixel 10 Pro will be available in Sterling Gray, Light Porcelain, Midnight, and Smokey Green colorways.
On the front, it has a 6.3-inch display that peaks at 3,000 nits of peak brightness. Just like its predecessor, it will be a 1-120Hz LTPO display at 2856 x 1280 resolution.
Inside the phone, we know that the Pixel 10 Pro, alongside all other Pixel 10 models, will sport the Tensor G5 chipset.
This new chipset marks an interesting change for Google as it’s manufactured by TSMC rather than Samsung and doesn’t contain any Samsung-made components.
The 16GB RAM inside the Pixel 10 Pro means it should perform much the same, if slightly better, than the Pixel 9 Pro.
The battery is 140mAh larger, marking the largest battery ever seen on a Pixel device.
You have the choice of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options, but we don’t know which colors are available with each storage size.
We expect Google to open preorders for the Pixel 10 Pro alongside the Made by Google event on August 10.
Thanks to leaker Roland Quandt on Bluesky, we have the European pricing for the Pixel 10 series.
As European pricing typically matches US pricing, we expect the Pixel 10 Pro to cost the same as the Pixel 9 Pro ($999 for the base model). It’s only the Pixel 10 Pro XL that is likely to increase in price.
Google Pixel 10 Pro: Software and cameras
The Google Pixel 10 Pro will launch with Android 16, which we expected. However, the Material 3 Expressive redesign is currently exclusive to the Android 16 QRP1 beta.
It would make sense for Google to release the stable version of Material 3 Expressive along with other features inside the QPR1 alongside the Pixel 10, but we haven’t heard anything from Google on that front.
Gemini is Google’s focus right now, so we can expect some new AI tools on the Pixel 10. We haven’t heard which features will be exclusive to the Pixel 10 yet.
The biggest new Gemini-powered feature appears to be Magic Cue, which can show you useful details and actions based on information on your screen.
Google gives the example of finding your flight number in Gmail when a friend asks you for it in a chat, but like all Gemini features, we’ll have to see it work in the wild before we get excited.
If you’re excited about what new camera technology Google has planned for the Pixel 10 Pro, you may want to curb your enthusiasm.
Android Authority reported that the Pixel 10 Pro’s camera sensors will be identical to those on the Pixel 9 Pro.
Here are the specifications:

However, the Pixel 10 series will sport software-assisted video stabilization that will produce an effect akin to recording video on a gimbal mount.
The Pixel 10 Pro copies many of the Pixel 9 Pro’s features
The Pixel 9 Pro was well received by reviewers, so it’s not surprising to see Google playing it safe with the Pixel 10 Pro.
However, we’ll have to wait until the Made By Google event on August 10 before we have the complete picture.
