Most readers already have a large enough TBR pile (To Be Read) without adding to it. But regardless of how big your pile of physical or electronic books is, Stuff Your Kindle Day is a guilt-free reason to add to it.

And this time, it’s romance readers that should be celebrating, because a new Stuff Your Kindle Day starts today, and this event is centered around romantic and spicy novels from authors you may not have heard of before.

The “Be My Valentine” Stuff Your Kindle Day runs for five days

The back of the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite (2024)

For the uninitiated, Stuff Your Kindle Day is a regular event where large groups of e-books are offered for free on Amazon, and anything you download, you get to keep forever. It’s a great way for relatively unknown authors to introduce themselves to new readers, and for prolific readers, it’s a great way to build up a list of novels to blast through.

Usually, Stuff Your Kindle Day lasts for, well, a day. But this time, the five-day span gives you plenty of time to browse the list of free books. The event is being hosted by The Indie Author Collective, and there’s an extremely helpful website to help you narrow down all the books available for the event.

You can filter by tropes, representation, spice level, and even content levels. It’s not immediately obvious what exactly each of the spice and content levels represents, but it’s pretty clear from my shy clicking that higher numbers equals more spicy content. If you’re not a fan of spicy content and just prefer to stick to pure romance, there’s an option to filter it out altogether.

While Stuff Your Kindle Day is definitely known largely because of Amazon’s e-reader, it’s important to note that the event covers both Kindles and Kobo e-readers alike, which means most of the best e-readers that we love are included. In fact, when you find a title through the tool above, you’ll be able to choose between getting the book on Amazon or Kobo. However, it’s important to note that I could not find a single working Kobo link for any of the books on offer.

Still, with five days to go, any kinks that need to be ironed out have time to be fixed. If you’re a fan of romance novels, then this deal is definitely one to keep an eye on so you can stuff your e-reader full of your favorite trope-laden reads.
