Jailbroken device users who frequently use the Facebook and Messenger applications could have a lot to gain from using iOS developer dayanch96’s new Flow and Glow jailbreak tweaks.
Both Flow and Glow are intended to boost the user experience of Facebook’s two most popular apps, but because they’re two different jailbreak tweaks, we’ll discuss them separately below.
Glow for Facebook
Glow is a tweak that enhances the primary Facebook app. It not only augments existing features, but it adds new ones as well. With support for iOS 14, 15, and 16, as well as support for being sideloaded on non-jailbroken setups where the tweak is injected directly into the sideloaded app in question, it’s a particularly versatile option.
Among the features that Glow for Facebook supports are the following:
- Remove ads
- Remove “People You May Know” from your feed
- Remove Reels carousel
- Confirm before liking a post
- Add the ability to download videos from your feed
- Add the ability to download Reels from your feed
- Hide the UI overlay
- Confirm before liking a Reel
- Enable downloading with a long-press gesture
- Add the ability to download Stories from your feed
- Enable watching Stories in your feed anonymously
- Disable auto-advancing
- Remove “People You May Know” from your Stories header
- Clear app cache on startup
While you can download Glow for Facebook from Dayanch96’s repository in Sileo or Zebra, you can also get it from the developer’s GitHub page.
As we’ve stated in the past, users should exercise caution when using jailbreak tweaks that might break a social media platform’s terms of service, as there’s always a risk of getting caught and consequently banned. While this isn’t as likely in Facebook as it is for apps like Snapchat, we just wanted to throw our disclaimer out there.
Flow for Facebook Messenger
Flow is a tweak that, much like Glow for Facebook, enhances the secondary Facebook Messenger app instead. It adds a lot of the same features as Glow does for Facebook, as well as some Messenger-specific improvements that are sure to make users more excited to use the app.
Among the features that Flow for Facebook Messenger supports are the following:
- Remove ads
- Remove Stories banner
- Remove “People You May Know”
- Disable the typing indicator
- Read messages anonymously without sharing a read receipt with the sender
- Watch Stories anonymously without alerting others you’ve seen it
- Loop Stories
- Add the ability to download Stories
- Remove the Stories tab entirely
- Remove the Friends tab entirely
- Remove the AI circle from the app
- Require confirmation before calling someone in the app
Flow for Facebook Messenger is available from Dayanch96’s repository in Sileo or Zebra, but it’s also available from the developer’s GitHub page.
If you’re using both the Facebook and Facebook Messenger apps, then you can download both Glow and Flow simultaneously and use them together. Just remember the potential risks we discussed earlier, and if you’re okay with that, then you can move forward.
