Google Fi, previously known as Project Fi, is the Mountain View, California-based tech giant’s T-Mobile-powered MVNO.
The service started back in April 2025 as a single-plan offering. It celebrated its 10th birthday earlier this year, highlighting the several new plans it has added since then, all while rolling out a new and more affordable Unlimited Essentials plan starting at $35 per month.
Google considers the service to be big enough now, and that has landed ‘Fi Wireless’ a more prominent spot on the front page of the Google Store (via 9to5Google).
For what it’s worth, Google Fi was already present on the Google Store home page. It was housed in a prominent section roughly half-way through the page. Now, it appears on the page’s top header/navigation bar and the “Popular on the Google Store” section.
Second on the top bar bar is a big deal
This should undoubtedly get more eyes on the service, all while making it easier for users actively seeking information about the MVNO to find what they’re looking for. The new prominent placement is now live on the top-bar on desktop, and within the hamburger menu on mobile.
The page highlights all available plans, including the new Unlimited Essentials plan for $35, the Unlimited Premium plan for $65, the Unlimited Standard plan for $50, and the Flexible plan that starts at $20. Elsewhere, the page highlights the service’s seven-day free trial, ease of switching with eSIM availability, and a FAQ section.
Elsewhere, Google Fi is currently offering solid discounts on a range of devices from Google, Samsung, and Motorola. It’s the latest promotion that essentially makes Google’s flagship Pixel 9 and mid-range Pixel 9a free.
