Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25-based Fan Edition device will reportedly arrive much sooner than we had initially expected. For reference, 2023’s Galaxy S23 FE and 2024’s S24 FE were both released in the month of October. The upcoming Fan Edition device, as confirmed by Samsung, will launch early — potentially as early as late August or early September.
Keeping that fact in mind, this massive spec leak that just made its way online makes a lot more sense.
From what we already know, the upcoming device will boast a 6.7-inch display, offer 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB variants, and will be powered by the Exynos 2400 chipset. The folks over at Android Headlines just corroborated those spec rumors, all while shedding light on other spec information we weren’t previously privy to.
If you’ve been eyeing a new mid-ranger, the Galaxy S25 FE will be a suitable choice for many. Even though the device isn’t significantly different from its predecessor, it offers just enough tweaks in all the right places to make it a compelling option.

Starting off with the only downgrade on the list, Samsung is reportedly opting for a 4,500mAh cell on the upcoming Fan Edition device. This, for reference, is smaller than the Galaxy S24 FE’s 4,700mAh cell. That, however, is paired with overall faster 45W wired charging, up from the S24 FE’s 25W wired cap. Wireless charging remains consistent at 15W.
The smaller battery could have helped Samsung achieve an overall slimmer frame for the Fan Edition device. Following the South Korean tech giant’s recent trend of slimming devices down, the S25 FE will reportedly measure in at 7.4mm in thickness, down from 8mm on its predecessor. Similarly, it’ll weigh less too, going down to 190g from 213g. Elsewhere, the device’s front shooter is also in for a minor upgrade, going from 10MP on the S24 FE to 12MP on the upcoming device.
The Fan Edition device will reportedly be available in four distinct colorways, including Navy, Icyblue, Jetblack, and White.
