Lucknow’s AI Hub
Lucknow, already home to Centres of Excellence in AI and MedTech, including the AI COE at IIIT Lucknow, stands as a testament to the city’s commitment to innovation. With a focus on nurturing creativity and entrepreneurship, these centers support over 15 AI/ML start-ups, making Lucknow a potential hub for groundbreaking advancements.
Blueprint for the AI City
The AI city envisions integration with top-tier technology, research centers, and educational institutions. It aims to create an environment conducive to the flourishing of ideas and the cultivation of a skilled workforce. The EoI invites real estate developers to partake in this monumental project, emphasizing the creation of Grade A office spaces tailored for incubators, start-ups, and corporate entities.
Government Support and Financial Incentives
In a proactive move, the government has earmarked 40 acres in the Nadarganj Industrial Area for the AI city. The chosen area is free from encumbrances and equipped to support land acquisition and zoning regulations. Financial incentives, including one-time Capex support and stamp duty exemptions, will further encourage the developer to contribute to this initiative.
Shaping the Future Economy
The AI city is not merely a physical space. It is a comprehensive initiative aligning with UP’s goal to become a $1 trillion economy within the next five years. With a keen focus on core sectors like IT and ITeS, the state aims to further boost its IT ecosystem. The first step to this is developing emerging technology hubs in Tier 2 cities, positioning Lucknow as a key player.
