We’re all doing the best we can in this time of global pandemic. Times are tough, both from a health and economic point of view. On behalf of everyone here at SentryOne, I want to take a moment to encourage you that we will get through this. It will not be easy. And the aftershocks of this once-in-a-century event will reverberate for a long time to come. Despite all the difficulties, we do have a few things to be thankful for, such as the fact that as IT pros, much of our work and learning can take place online.
Expert Speakers and a Vast Library of Topics
If you’re a leader for an IT pro user group, Meetup, or chapter meeting, then we want to help by offering up our large cadre of expert speakers able to present on a variety of topics to your groups. This invitation is worldwide—North and South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. If you’re willing to conduct your virtual meeting during a time zone where we are awake, then we’ll get a speaker for you. We have a vast library of topics that I or others of my colleagues can present. Examples include:
- SQL Query tuning
- Index tuning and analysis
- Database design and modeling
- Azure SQL Database and the various parts of Microsoft’s Azure Data Platform
- On-premises SQL Server configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization
- DBA, Development, and BI best practices and processes
- Professional development and soft skills
- … and much more
Believe me, there is nothing we enjoy more than getting to hang out with you. But since we are living in the age of social distancing, let’s do the next best thing—virtual meetings!

Of course, we don’t have unlimited capacity. So, we may ask you for flexibility to present on a close, but alternate, date and/or time. But we’ll do our level best to make it work for your local community and ours.
Was Your Multi-Track Event Cancelled? We Can Help
In some cases, you’ve put an enormous amount of volunteer hours into putting on your SQL Saturday, Code Camp, or other multi-track event. That’s a real downer. Many of us here at SentryOne can relate to that pain and disappointment intimately. I can think of at least a half-dozen of our current and former staff who have been leaders and organizers for events like these.
If you’d still like to put something into the works, you might consider a scaled down virtual event. Logistically, your biggest requirement is a multi-track webcasting platform, since you’ve already done the heavy lifting of recruiting and selecting speakers, volunteers, and so much more. We can help there too by providing you with our webcasting and virtual event platform and supporting your virtual event. All you need to do is let us know. We are here to help!
Next Steps
To follow up on this offer for virtual events in North America, drop us an email. To follow up for virtual events outside of North America, get in touch with us here. We will get the conversation rolling from there and get you set up!
