How Good Is Bitdefender at Blocking Malware & Internet Security Threats?
Bitdefender is really good at blocking malware and internet security threats. I downloaded an archive containing 1,000s of malware samples onto my Windows PC, and Bitdefender was able to detect and remove every single one. The real-time protection worked well, too. When I tried downloading malware samples onto my computer, Bitdefender immediately quarantined them before they could do any damage.
The web protections also performed excellently. As said, they blocked more dangerous websites than the default protections on popular web browsers. However, they also performed better than several competitor antiviruses. Bitdefender blocked more dangerous websites than TotalAV and had better exploit protections than Avira.
I also really like Bitdefender’s mobile app (included in Total Security). It includes tons of features for Android users, such as anti-theft protections, an app locker, and email monitoring. The iOS app is also pretty good, including Bitdefender’s web protection, scam alerts, a VPN, and data breach monitoring.
Overall, Bitdefender is excellent at blocking malware and internet security threats in 2025 across a range of devices.
