The latest update for Android 16 is now rolling out, and, well, there isn’t really too much to talk about this time around. Google issued the security bulletin for its latest update, and if you glance over it, you’ll see that there aren’t any security issues that need to be addressed.

A new month brings no changes

This is quite a contrast from the January security patch that listed several fixes going out. However, looking at the Pixel Update Bulletin, we can see that there is one fix on the list:

CVE-2026-010 A-463674877 EoP High VPU Driver

But big changes are coming

Again, there doesn’t really seem like anything major to fix for this month, which is a good thing overall. Those who are curious will want to update their devices in order to get the latest security updates. With that said, we should see a new update arrive to Pixel devices sometime next month with the release of Android 16 QPR3.

Over the past few months, we’ve seen betas come and go that include some exciting features and changes. Perhaps the most important part of the upcoming update is going to have to do with overall performance. While new features are nice, getting a smoother experience when it comes to daily operations is something that’s quite underrated.

Of course, we’ll just have to wait and see what the final product will look like, which isn’t that far off. We should see one more beta drop ahead of the final release. If you’re someone that is curious about new features, and wants to experience them early, it’s probably a good idea to get in on the beta.

Although betas aren’t perfect, they are relatively stable for the most part. However, if you only have one phone, we recommend holding off since you never know how bad a beta can get until it’s out in the wild.
