Add seconds to your jailbroken iOS 16 device’s Lock Screen with LSTimeSeconds16

The iPhone can display the current time on the Lock Screen, but one thing that is noticeably missing from the interface is a seconds indicator.

Now that we have a more widely available iOS 16 jailbreak in the form of Dopamine v2, it should come as no surprise that a Lock Screen clock-based seconds indicator jailbreak tweak called LSTimeSeconds16 is now available by iOS developer b4db1r3.

Once installed, users will find a seconds indicator just to the right of the minutes indicator on their Lock Screen’s digital clock, as depicted above.

Designed specifically with iOS 16 in mind, LSTimeSeconds16 works with all of the different native fonts and styles that the iOS 16 Lock Screen brings to the table. The tweak even works with the Lock Screen’s wallpaper effect, which overlaps some of the digits.

One unwanted side effect of the tweak, however, is that it forcefully enables the 24-hour clock. If you’re accustomed to the 12-hour clock like many users are, then this will take some getting used to. We actually hope that the developer makes it possible to use the 12-hour clock with their tweak right out of the box in the future.

If you’re interested in giving LSTimeSeconds16 a try, then you can download it for free from b4db1r3’s personal repository via your favorite package manager app. The tweak supports jailbroken iOS 16 devices only, but a non-iOS 16 version is also available for earlier versions of iOS. There are no options to configure.

Those not already using b4db1r3’s personal repository can add it to their package manager app by using the URL provided below:
