Talion adds a pair of configurable side-by-side widgets to your Lock screen

If you’re interested in transforming your iPhone’s Lock screen into a customizable quick-glance information hub, then you might enjoy a new jailbreak tweak called Talion by iOS developer maximehip.

Talion lets you add various widgets directly to your Lock
screen, and unlike the ones that appear in iOS’ Today view, widgets that appear
via Talion are optimized to display side-by-side in a lovely and compact manner,
as shown above.

Right out of the box, Talion supports a variety of different widgets, such as Weather, Calendar, Number of Steps, and Battery, but the developer teases that many other new widget options will be coming in a future update. Personally, we like the Weather and Calendar widgets because they tell us more about our day before we step outside of our front door.

Talion adds a preference pane to the Settings app where you
can configure the tweak to your liking:

Here, you can:

  • Toggle Talion on or off on demand
  • Choose the widgets you’d like to use:
    • Configure the left-sided widget
    • Configure the right-sided widget
      • Calendar
      • Number of Steps
      • Battery

The developer also includes a respring button in the
preference pane that you’ll need to use any time you make changes to the
Settings.

Talion is advertised to work on all jailbroken devices running iOS 10 through iOS 12, so if you fit that criteria, then this might be worth checking out. The tweak can be purchased from Cydia’s Packix repository for just $0.99 and we’re excited about the future updates that will bring more widgets to the table.

Will you be trying Talion? Tell us why or why not in the
comments section below.
