The iOS 16 Lock Screen lets you add widgets to it so you can view information at a glance without unlocking your device to see more. By what if you need more slots to see more widgets?
A newly released and free jailbreak tweak dubbed MoreComplications by iOS developer Skitty enables more rows of widgets on the iOS 16 Lock Screen so that you can see even more than are traditionally allowed on stock devices.
As you can see in the screenshot examples above, MoreComplications allows the user to manually designate how many rows of widgets they want on their Lock Screen.
The tweak adds a dedicated preference pane to the Settings app where users can:
- Toggle MoreComplications on or off on demand
- Increase or decrease the number of rows of widgets on the Lock Screen
- Respring your device to save your changes
It’s worth noting that each row can only support the same number of widgets that they can on a stock device — that’s two larger ones or four smaller ones. But now that you can increase the number of rows of widgets, you can fit exponentially more of them on your Lock Screen so that you never miss important details.
What I really like about this tweak is that it expands upon Apple’s already native Lock Screen widget system as opposed to trying to add a separate third-party widget system. This means that you can use all the widgets provided by your native and third-party App Store apps.
If you’re interested in giving MoreComplications a try, then you can download it for free from Skitty’s personal repository via your favorite package manager app. The tweak supports jailbroken iOS 16 devices only.
If you’re not already taking advantage of Skitty’s repository, then you can add it to your package manager app of choice by using the URL provided below:

MoreComplications is also open source on the developer’s GitHub page for anyone who wants to see more about how it works.
