You know how we do things around here. Keep our readers apprised of the latest iPhone hacking and jailbreaking news throughout the week, and then come back during the weekend with an all-encompassing recap.
We do this because we know that people get busy during the work week, and we want everyone to have equal access to important information about jailbreaking.
This weekend is no different, and we have a curated roundup of all the latest jailbreak news and information spanning the week of Monday, March 11th through Sunday, March 17th.
Important stuff from this week
Dopamine updates
The Dopamine iOS & iPadOS 15 and 16 jailbreak picked up some updates this past week that improve the user experience by fixing bugs.
You can learn about the latest updates to Dopamine below:
TrollInstallerX teased
The TrollInstallerX installation method for TrollStore was recently teased, and it’s a big deal because it will use a kernel exploit to allow direct TrollStore installations such that installing it won’t require sacrificing a system app, such as Tips.
You can find out more about TrollInstallerX in our full news post.
Installing Misaka for tvOS
If you ever wanted to install Misaka on your Apple TV before, then we’ve got you. This helps you hack and get the most out of your tvOS experience.
Learn about how to install Misaka for tvOS in our step-by-step tutorial post.
Perma-signing apps on Apple Watch
Software tinkerer Lior Halphon showed off that it’s possible to use the MacDirtyCow bug and the same CoreTrust bug that TrollStore for iPhone and iPad uses to perma-sign apps on the Apple Watch.
In their demonstration, Halphon perma-signed a Game Boy emulation of the Pokémon Silver game on their Apple Watch.
You can see more about this in our full news post.
iOS 17.3.1 unsigned
Apple has stopped signing iOS & iPadOS 17.3.1 in a move that prevents downgrades from the newer iOS & iPadOS 17.4 firmware update.
Apple tends to follow this trend one or two weeks after releasing a firmware update, and they have yet to relent after several years of this happening.
You can learn more about this in our full news post.
