Developer Lars Fröder (@opa334dev) released an updated version of the Dopamine jailbreak tool Sunday evening, officially bringing the tool up to version 2.0.11.
Citing the announcement post shared via X (formerly Twitter), we understand that Dopamine v2.0.11 contains the following bug fix:
— Actually fix relevant file path permissions when rejailbreaking (previously the method for this existed but was never called, sigh…), this should now actually automatically fix issues such as NewTerm / SSH not working
By addressing path permission issues after re-jailbreaking, users should no longer experience problems while trying to use NewTerm or SSH.
Despite being a relatively small update to the tool, Dopamine v2.0.11 is recommended for all existing users, and anyone who hasn’t already used Dopamine, but plans to, should also take advantage of the latest version as of right now.
If you’re already using Dopamine, then you’ll find an update prompt in the jailbreak app itself at launch advising you to update, and you can use it to update with just a tap.
Anyone who isn’t already using Dopamine can acquire the latest build from the project’s GitHub page and follow the steps in our step-by-step tutorial to get jailbroken with it.
Dopamine, for those who don’t already know, is a rootless semi-untethered jailbreak that can be perma-signed with TrollStore. It supports the following device and firmware combinations:
- iOS & iPadOS 15.0-16.6.1 on A9-A11devices
- iOS & iPadOS 15.0-16.5.1 and 16.6 betas 1-4 on A12-A14 & M1 devices
