In less than a week, Samsung will unveil its 2026 foldable lineup comprising the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Flip 8, and Z Fold 8 Wide. While leaked renders have already revealed almost every design change, a new report fills in the remaining gaps with key details about their hardware, software, and features.

WinFuture details nearly every key specification of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, the successor to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, as well as the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide, which Samsung will presumably market as the Galaxy Z Fold 8.

The ‘wide’ Z Fold 8 will supposedly pack a 5.5-inch cover display and a 7.6-inch foldable main screen. More importantly, the inner display will feature a resolution of 2448 x 1848 pixels, giving it a significantly wider aspect ratio than previous Z Folds.

As teased by Samsung, the foldable screen will use a new titanium substrate design to reduce crease visibility and improve durability.

As for cameras, the Z Fold 8 Wide will apparently house a 50MP f/1.8 main camera and a 50MP f/1.9 ultrawide. The two selfie cameras will each sport a 10MP f/2.2 sensor — one on the cover display and another on the foldable screen.

The device will reportedly measure just 4.5mm when unfolded and weigh 201g, making it even thinner and lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Yet, the Z Fold 8 Wide will supposedly pack a 4,800mAh battery, the largest ever cell in a Samsung foldable. That should notably boost its total runtime. Plus, it will support up to 45W wired charging speeds.

Other specs as detailed by WinFuture include a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 ‘for Galaxy’ chipset, 12GB RAM, and up to 1TB of storage.

Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra will live up to its Ultra name

The Z Fold 8 Ultra will seemingly feature a 6.5-inch cover display and an 8-inch inner foldable screen. Unlike the Z Fold 8 Wide, the report states the foldable will sport three rear cameras, including a 200MP primary shooter, a 3x 10MP telephoto, and a 50MP f/1.9 ultrawide.

The other notable difference between the two foldables will be the battery capacity, with the Z Fold 8 Ultra reportedly packing an even bigger 5,000mAh cell. Charging speeds will also get a boost to 45W. Interestingly, the report states that despite the bump in battery capacity, the Z Fold 8 Ultra will be even slimmer, measuring 4.1mm when unfolded.
