Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event, according to leaks, is just a little over two weeks away now. Expected to be held on February 25, the event will highlight the South Korean tech giant’s latest Galaxy S26 series, and potentially even new Galaxy Buds.
In addition to the hardware, the event will reportedly focus on One UI 8.5-related enhancements, with the S26 series likely being shipped with the new OS preinstalled.
As of right now, only S25 series owners have been able to take advantage of said ‘enhancements,’ and that too, only in beta.
The South Korean tech giant rolled out the third One UI 8.5 beta earlier this year, and it is finally rolling out the fourth installment now.
Highlighted by several tipsters, including Tarun Vats, the new beta is now rolling out in the US, alongside Germany and the UK (via 9to5Google). The update weighs roughly 1.5GB
There’s not much to see here
The new update doesn’t really bring anything new the One UI 8.5. It only brings a few bug fixes, which might suggest that Samsung has officially entered the ‘feature freeze’ stage, where instead of introducing new features, it is simply polishing existing ones for stable.

- Fixed an issue where the clock would move to the bottom of the lock screen.
- Fixed an issue with clicking on search history in the Phone app.
- Fixed an issue where calls would switch to the device under certain conditions while using a Bluetooth headset.
- Fixed an issue when pasting phone numbers into the keypad after clicking a call link.
- Fixed an issue where Al Select does not automatically close when “Copy” is selected.
If you want to try out the new beta, you’d need one of Samsung’s latest S25 series devices. Alternatively, you might want to wait until the S26 series’ availability in March, which is also when One UI 8.5 is expected to become stable.
