The Google Pixel is doing good, seeing worldwide growth over the past couple of years. And while Google has done a great job optimizing and refining the hardware and software experience, it can be hard to move to another brand if you’re looking for something new.
With that said, you don’t always need to spend a ton and hop into the best that Google has to offer. You can always go with its more affordable products, because you’ll pretty much get the same experience without spending a lot of money.
The Pixel 9a is a winner
The Pixel 9a is a phone that we really loved, praising it in our review. The design feels modern and sleek, and the display is vibrant and crisp. Perhaps the most important part that brings it all together is the software, which Google has delivered time and time again with new versions of Android that are packed with features.
The hardware is great for most people
When it comes to hardware, the Pixel 9a features a 6.3-inch pOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and is powered by Google’s Tensor G4 SoC. You also get 8GB of RAM, along with 128GB of internal storage. This powerful combination will make the phone feel quick in everyday use.
You get a dual camera setup on the rear, with a 48MP main and 13MP ultrawide. There’s also a 13MP selfie camera. In addition, the phone can charge at up to 23W, and there’s also wireless charging. Google will support the Pixel 9a with seven years of updates, which means new software until 2032.
The battery life is also excellent, and most people should easily be able to get through the day without any problems. Overall, not a bad phone, especially for its current price of $399. It’s the one phone that will go the distance and stay relevant for some years to come.
