It’s that time of the year again: the annual rush of music streaming recaps is soon to be upon us.
First popularized by Spotify with Wrapped, every major music streaming service now competes to deliver a comprehensive year-end recap. Apple Music has Replay, Amazon Music has Delivered, while YouTube Music has Recap.
Although November hasn’t come to a close, and we have all of December to go through, one music streaming service already seems ready to roll out its annual recap. Google’s YouTube Music revealed its yearly Recap late in November back in 2023. Subsequently, in 2024, YouTube Music Recap arrived on November 20th. Now, like clockwork, the streaming service’s 2025 iteration is starting to appear for users.
No, YouTube Music’s Recap isn’t out for the masses just yet, but it is definitely starting to appear for some.

Highlighted by a few users on Reddit (via PiunikaWeb) starting roughly two days ago, the YouTube Music app is highlighting a big flair banner indicating that the recap is here. For some, tapping the banner highlights the recap. For some, clicking on it does nothing.
“Clicked it and nothing came up, and when I refreshed the page the banner was gone. I honestly hope they aren’t rolling out year recaps this early,” wrote user Crocotato22. On the other hand, user Neji_boi wrote, “I got mine, seems they rolled it out early Some of the statistics don’t make much sense… seemed rushed.” This is a classic example of a server-side rollout, and users can expect wider Recap visibility over the coming days.
Some users suggest that they’re still stuck seeing their “Fall Recap,” which is the case for me. To check whether your new 2025 Recap has rolled out, head to the YouTube Music app and look for a blue banner on the app’s home screen. Alternatively, tap on your profile icon on the app’s top right and tap on Your Recap.
