We’re only a few months away from the official launch of the Galaxy S26 series, and whatever date Samsung decides for that, fans are excited to see “big camera upgrades” in the lineup. Another reason to get excited about the event is the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro, which is expected to launch on the same day.

It isn’t some minor design tweaks that make the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro exciting. If rumors are to be believed, Samsung has some major features planned for the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro. And thanks to the folks over at Android Authority, we just learned about a powerful feature you may find in the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro when it launches.

Galaxy Buds 4 Pro may take hands-free control to a new level

Hands-free control isn’t new to the Galaxy Buds lineup. The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, which is a predecessor of the upcoming Galaxy Buds 4 Pro, allows users to use their voice to get a hands-free experience. Now, Samsung will reportedly take it a notch higher in Galaxy Buds 4 Pro by introducing support for Head Gestures, as per strings found in One UI 8.5 by Android Authority.

If true, Samsung won’t be the first company to do something like this. In fact, the South Korean tech giant is aiming to match, or should I say outplay, rivals like Sony and Google by expanding what you can control with the Head Gestures feature on the WF-1000XM5 and Pixel Buds Pro 2. Other than answering or declining calls, Galaxy Buds 4 Pro users will also be able to do the following:

  • Respond to calls, notifications, and more by nodding or shaking head
  • Hear notifications aloud or stop the reading
  • Dismiss alarms, timers, Calendar alerts, and Reminder alerts
  • Answer yes/no questions or end conversations with an AI assistant
  • Hands-free control for when speaking or touching phone isn’t possible

The leak also suggests that the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro will have features like 360° recording, Adaptive Noise Control, Find your phone, and more. In addition to powerful features, the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro will also offer a fresh new design.

The latest leak also reveals more details about the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro design

Last month, we reported that the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro will have a flat stem instead of the triangular cross-section of its predecessor. The latest leaked One UI 8.5 animations spotted by Android Authority have confirmed it. What’s more, it looks like Samsung has also redesigned the case to make the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro earbuds lay flat inside it as opposed to the vertical drop-in design of the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro.

We’ll hopefully learn more about its design and features as we approach closer to the official launch. However, it’s worth noting that leaks should always be taken with a pinch of salt, because Samsung may change plans at the very last minute. We hope it doesn’t turn out to be the case for Galaxy Buds 4 Pro leaks.
