Home internet used to be a fairly involved process, requiring a contract, installation, and expensive equipment. But over time, satellite and 5G services have emerged, making it as simple as bringing a device home, setting it up, and getting online in a matter of minutes. And we can’t forget about pricing, because for the latter option, it’s actually pretty affordable.
Of course, it can always be cheaper if a brand’s willing to invest in the technology, which is what we’re seeing now with Mint Mobile. The brand teased its new internet service at the top of the month, and we’re now getting the full details. “MINTernet” as the company calls it, is now available for as low as just $30/month.
Now, we wish that Mint Mobile would just have it be as simple as that, but it does get pretty convoluted when you dive into the pricing details. For those with a Mint Mobile phone plan, you will be able to get the best pricing, and can score the $30/month plan by signing up for a three-month or 12-month plan. A six-month plan will end up costing $35/month.
Renewing on a three-month plan will end up costing $40/month, while a six-month renewal will cost $35/month. The annual renewal will save you the most at just $30/month. Now, if you’re still with me, there’s also pricing for those that aren’t signed up for Mint Mobile’s phone service. And prices here will be slightly different, costing $10 more per month.
So, at most, you’ll end up paying $50/month, while at the very least you’ll pay $40/month. We’ve popped in the visuals above just in case this was all a little confusing. Again, we wish Mint Mobile was a bit more straightforward with all the pricing for its plans here.
And just like Mint Mobile’s standard plans, you will need to pay everything up front in order to sign up. Naturally, you will have options in this market, so it’s good to check out what’s available for competing brands. Mint Mobile does provide great coverage and speed, so we would recommend it. The brand will provide all the equipment you need when you sign up.

Mint Mobile is a value-focused MVNO that runs off T-Mobile’s 5G network in the US. It differentiates itself from the competition by offering wholesale discounts for its service — you buy multiple months of service at a time and pay less per month as a result. Mint Mobile was partially owned by Ryan Reynolds, before T-Mobile acquired the MVNO earlier in 2024.
