Last week, Samsung officially announced when it’ll roll out the One UI 8 Stable update to the remaining eligible Galaxy handsets. However, the South Korean tech giant has shared no such timeline for the WearOS 6-based One UI 8 Watch updates, keeping Galaxy Watch users dark about when the stable update will arrive on their watches.

If you are one of those users who can’t wait any longer, you can join the One UI 8 Watch beta program and test all the new features and improvements. This beta program was earlier limited to Galaxy Watch 7 users and has now opened to Galaxy Watch 6. So, more users can now get an early taste of what’s new in One UI 8.

One UI 8 Watch first debuted in the Galaxy Watch 8 series, officially launched in July this year. But even before that, Samsung kicked off the One UI 8 Watch beta program in June, but only for Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra. This is no longer the case, as Samsung has started allowing Galaxy Watch 6 users to join the One UI 8 Watch beta program.

One UI 8 Watch beta for Galaxy Watch 6 is now available in Korea

As first spotted by @ya_sking12767, Galaxy Watch 6 users in South Korea can now join the beta program through the latest version of the Samsung Members app. While there is no confirmation it’s open for Galaxy Watch 6 users in the US and other countries, it shouldn’t take long to expand its availability.

If you want to try the One UI 8 Watch beta on your Galaxy Watch 6, open the Samsung Members app and tap the banner to enroll your device. The next step is using the Galaxy Wearable app to download the latest beta firmware update. Again, all of this will work only if the One UI 8 Watch beta is available in your region.

As for what’s new in the One UI 8 Watch update, it adds several new features, including new watch faces, Now Bar, more finger pinch gestures, a new charging animation, and more. After Galaxy Watch 6, all these new features will also be available for Galaxy Watch 5, as it’s next in line to receive the One UI 8 Watch beta updates.

The One UI 8 Watch Stable is expected to be available for the Galaxy Watch 4 series, and this will be the last one to get the update. But for now, only the Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Watch 8 series are running the One UI 8 Watch Stable update.
