Sony has revealed the 11 games that will come to the PlayStation Plus Premium and Extra game catalog this month. It’s shaping up to be a pretty great month for the service, with multiple console exclusives and some classic game franchises being part of the lineup.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered on PS5 is the month’s most high-profile edition, as it still stands as one of the best superhero video games of all time. Fans of horror will also be happy to hear that the original versions of Resident Evil 2 and 3 are coming to PS Plus Premium’s classics catalog.

What games are coming to PS Plus Premium and Extra in August 2025?

Spider-Man, Resident Evil, and more are represented

Below, you can see the full list of games coming to PS Plus Premium and Extra this month and the platforms they will be available on:

  • Earth Defense Force 6 (PS4, PS5)
  • Harold Halibut (PS5)
  • Indika (PS5)
  • Marvel’s Spider-Man (PS4, PS5)
  • Mortal Kombat 1 (PS5)
  • The PS1 version of Resident Evil 2 (PS4, PS5)
  • The PS1 version of Resident Evil 3 (PS4, PS5)
  • Sword of the Sea (PS5)
  • Unicorn Overlord (PS4, PS5)

All 11 of these PS Plus games will be added to the service on August 19. PS5 players can download Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, while PS4 players will have to settle for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Game of the Year Edition. Either way, it’s still worth playing, as this game features one of the best Spider-Man stories ever and feels amazing to play as you swing around New York City.It’s one of the best PlayStation exclusives of the past decade, and is coming to the service alongside brand-new console exclusive Sword of the Sea.This is also a particularly good month for PS Plus Premium subscribers. Those subscribed to the highest tier get access to the PS1 versions of Resident Evil 2 and 3, while Extra subscribers don’t. These are emulated versions of these retro games that allow players to rewind, create save states, and play the game at a higher resolution than was originally possible. A game trial for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will also be available to PS Plus Premium subscribers on August 19, allowing them to try the first five hours of the game for free.
