Oura has announced a pair of new Oura Ring features especially for women, with both becoming available this week.
The first is the redesigned Pregnancy Insights feature, which leans into anonymous data collected from its members to help women better understand how their body changes during pregnancy, and whether it’s all normal, or if it would be advisable to consult a doctor.
For example, the Trend View cross references your data with contextualized data gathered from Oura members and the population, allowing you to better understand the changes and health fluctuations that come with pregnancy.
It further tracks your usual metrics, such as resting heart rate and body temperature, then plots them into a trend-based graph so you can quickly see week-to-week changes. There’s the opportunity to input your own symptoms, and also to chat with the AI Oura Advisor about pregnancy and associated data points too.
A new card will be added to the Oura’s home screen called Gestational Age, which provides weekly insights into what to expect at your stage of pregnancy.
Focusing on women’s health
The second new feature is the Perimenopause Check-In, a first-of-its-kind feature to make menopause more visible and help initiate care.
A 12-question Menopause Rating Scale (MRS) survey is the primary tool for Oura Ring wearers, helping better identify how menopause is affecting your daily life, which can be converted into a PDF ready to share with your doctor. Over time, it will include trends and cycle data too.
Finally, the feature enables in-app access to several Oura partners specializing in care, including Evernow, Midi Health, Progeny, and Maven. These join other Oura features designed for women, including integration with Natural Cycles.
The Pregnancy Insights feature will arrive as an update on August 12, while the Perimenopause feature will come on August 13. The Oura Ring 4 starts at $400 and requires a $6 per month subscription fee to access the app and all its data, including these two new features.
