The Pixel 10 series is almost here, with only a couple of weeks left until Google takes the wraps off its lineup of high-end flagships. Much like the Pixel 9 last year, the Pixel 10 has extensively leaked in the form of renders, while its hardware credentials have also leaked out on numerous occasions. We’re now getting another piece of info on the Pixel 10 lineup, specifically pertaining to its free AI benefits.
Looking through the latest Google app (version 16.30.59), code sleuth AssembleDebug discovered the mention of the Google Pixel 10 among a list of devices eligible for Google’s AI perks (via Android Authority). However, this is all we can determine, given that no additional details are available.
The image published by Android Authority reveals a handful of other devices that have received the free Google AI Pro perk, including the recently launched Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and the Z Flip 7 FE, which come bundled with 6 months of Google AI Pro at no cost. We can see the Galaxy S25 Edge mentioned here, while brands like Oppo, Motorola, and Xiaomi are also featured on this list.
Will Google repeat last year’s strategy?
Leaked renders of the Pixel 10 Pro
Last year, Google offered 12 months of Gemini Advanced (now known as Google AI Pro) to the Pixel 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, and the 9 Pro Fold. Although the entry-level Pixel 9 was initially excluded from the free AI Pro/Gemini Advanced promo, Google currently offers a six-month free subscription to AI Pro (2TB) for new Pixel 9 buyers, as previously suggested by leaks. While this isn’t exactly the same as the full year of perks enjoyed by the Pro models, it’s certainly a step up from paying $20/month for those same features.
Barring any major surprises, the Pixel 10 Pro models are likely to come bundled with a 12-month Google AI Pro subscription, similar to the Pixel 9 Pro lineup last year. It will be interesting to see if Google will offer a free subscription for the vanilla Pixel 10 or if it will simply forgo this AI freebie altogether. The Made by Google event on August 20 will mark the debut of the Pixel 10 series, along with the Pixel Watch 4, and a potential refresh of the Pixel Buds A-Series.
