Last-minute Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 case leaks leave little to the imagination

Samsung’s summer Unpacked event is next week (on July 9, to be exact) and while the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to steal the spotlight, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is showing up strong in its own right. Ahead of launch, insider leakers and eagle-eyed European retailer hawks have revealed the first-party cases for both foldables, giving us a closer look at Samsung’s accessory strategy, plus a peek into some subtle hardware decisions (Sources: Android Headlines, and Nieuwe Mobiel via Android Authority).

Let’s start with the Galaxy Z Flip 7. It’s not just a bendy phone with style anymore; Samsung clearly wants it to look the part. The familiar Clear Case is back with a protective lip around the camera module and cutouts for the fingerprint sensor-integrated power button, while the volume rocker gets a traditional button overlay. It retains the ring in the center—no surprises there. Pricing should hover around $40, just like last year.

But it’s the clear MagSafe-style case that raises eyebrows. This version includes embedded magnets, effectively confirming that the Flip 7 — and probably the Fold 7 — won’t include Qi2-compatible magnets natively. It’s the same accessory-first, magnets-second approach Apple pioneered with MagSafe accessories.

Next up is the fan-favorite Kind Suit, Samsung’s faux leather premium option. It’ll ship in a fresh batch of colors (black, taupe, and camel) with the kind of texture that screams “executive style.” Expect it to hit that $99 price tag again, though no confirmation just yet.

If you’re not down for faux leather, the Silicone Ring Case returns as a more playful (and pocket-optional) alternative. With a central ring for easier grip and colors like black, blue, coral red, and mint, this $40 accessory is geared toward users who prioritize convenience without sacrificing flair.

Also on the list is an anti-reflective screen protector for the Flip’s front display, effectively upgrading it to Gorilla Glass Armor 2 levels of durability.

Shifting over to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Dutch site Nieuwe Mobiel uncovered a suite of official case renders that mirror the Flip’s approach. There’s the usual clear case (minimalist, back-only protection, €49), and a clear grip case that’s oddly stripped down this year—no front bumper like the Fold 6’s version, yet priced higher at €53. Go figure.

There’s also a clear magnet case (€57), similar to the Flip’s magnetic case, hinting again at Qi2 compatibility without built-in magnets. The redesigned Silicone Case skips the front cover and grip but keeps the kickstand (€69), while the new Carbon Shield case leans into premium with carbon fiber styling and a lofty €89 price tag.

Samsung’s betting big on accessories this cycle, but it’s the magnet-equipped cases that really tell the story: this year’s foldables are playing nice with next-gen wireless accessories — but only if you buy the right case.
