ZoneId systemDefault() method in Java with Examples

The systemDefault() method of the ZoneId class in Java is used to return the system default time-zone.

Syntax:

public String systemDefault()

Parameters: This method does not accepts any parameters.

Return Value: This method returns the zone ID.

Exceptions: This method throws following exception:

  • DateTimeException – It throws this exception if the converted zone ID has an invalid format.
  • ZoneRulesException – It throws this exception if the converted zone region ID cannot be found.

// ZoneId.systemDefault() method
  
import java.time.*;
  
public class GFG {
    public static void main(String[] args)
    {
  
        // create ZoneId object
        ZoneId zoneId
            = ZoneId.systemDefault();

                           + zoneId);
    }
}
