LockEditor lets you modify several Lock screen properties on iOS

If you find the stock iOS Lock screen to be a bore, then LockEditor is here to spice things up a bit. It’s a jailbreak tweak that allows you to modify a plethora of Lock screen features, from the passcode rings, to “slide to unlock” text.

In fact, LockEditor contains nearly two-dozen different settings and switches that allow you to customize the look and feel of the Lock screen. Have a look at our video, which showcases some of the features that you’ll find in LockEditor.

Once installed, you’ll need to venture over to the stock Settings app to find LockEditor’s preference panel. Per the norm for a tweak like this, it’s mainly a collection of toggle switches and text entry fields.

Personally speaking, after seeing this sort of setup for the umpteenth time, I have to admit that it’s getting a little tiring. I mean, LockEditor works, but the preferences for the tweak are uninspiring and just boring overall.

Yes, you can customize your Lock screen to a high degree, and LockEditor does this decently. But it’s definitely a tweak that we’ve seen many times before, and its settings will leave you feeling a little meh.

That said, if you want some of the features that LockEditor provides, which include:

  • Disable Blur
  • Disable Alpha
  • Disable passcode button rings
  • Disable button animation
  • Custom passcode text
  • Custom require passcode text
  • Hiding unlock chevron
  • Customizing slide to unlock text
  • Hiding status bar
  • Hiding Date and Time
  • Changing the Lock screen dim delay

…then maybe you should give LockEditor a try. It’s not a bad tweak at all, just extremely “been there done that” and uninspired.

What do you think about LockEditor? It’s available now for only $0.99 on the BigBoss repo. Sound off down below with your thoughts and opinions.
