FastLockX makes unlocking your handset with Face ID even faster

Got a jailbroken Face ID-capable device and wish you could reduce the time it takes to go from authenticating yourself to looking at your Home Screen? If so, then the new and free FastLockX jailbreak tweak by iOS developerKasper_2773 might be for you.

FastLockX works by allowing you to skip the “swipe up to unlock” function after your iPhone’s Face ID system recognizes your face. Instead, it can send you straight to the Home Screen after authentication.

There are obviously some instances where you might not want this to happen, and that’s why the developer provides some options to configure in a dedicated preference pane:

Options here allow the user to disable FastLockX under the following circumstances:

  • When you have music playing
  • When you have missed notifications
  • When you have the flashlight tuned on
  • When you have Low Power Mode enabled

These options are immediate upon being configured, so a respring isn’t required to save your settings.

The developer acknowledges that FastLockX is similar to an existing jailbreak tweak called AutoUnlockX, however FastLockX is a smaller and more lightweight tweak.

FastLockX supports all jailbroken iOS & iPadOS 13, 14, and 15 devices with Face ID support, and this includes the likes of the XinaA15 jailbreak for A12-A15 devices running iOS or iPadOS 15.0-15.1.1.

If you’re interested in giving FastLockX a try, then you can download it for free from the Havoc repository via your favorite package manager app.
