Python | Numpy MaskedArray.__rmul__

numpy.ma.MaskedArray class is a subclass of ndarray designed to manipulate numerical arrays with missing data. With the help of Numpy MaskedArray.__rmul__ we can multiply a particular value that is provided as a parameter in the MaskedArray.__rmul__() method.

Syntax: numpy.MaskedArray.__rmul__

Return: Multiply others by self, and return a new masked array.

Example #1 :
In this example we can see that each and every element in an array is multiplied with the value given as a parameter in method MaskedArray.__rmul__().

# import the important module in python
import numpy as np

# make an array with numpy
gfg = np.ma.array([1, 2, 3, 4, 5])

# applying MaskedArray.__rmul__() method
print(gfg.__rmul__(3))

Output:

[ 3  6  9 12 15]

Example #2:

# import the important module in python
import numpy as np

# make an array with numpy
gfg = np.ma.array([[1, 2, 3, 4, 5],
                [6, 5, 4, 3, 2]])

# applying MaskedArray.__rmul__() method
print(gfg.__rmul__(5))

Output:

[[ 5 10 15 20 25]
 [30 25 20 15 10]]
