The neveropen team makes it a substantial priority to cover jailbreak-related and iPhone hacking content throughout the week, but we also want to make content discovery easier for those who can’t pay attention to the site every day of the week.
Enter our weekly roundup posts — a way for readers to sit down on a Sunday morning and see what’s new in these spaces from the past week.
In this roundup piece, we’ll outline everything that happened during the week of Monday, June 10th through Sunday, June 16th. We’ll start with the most important stuff first and then wrap everything else up afterward.
Important stuff from this week
TrollStore installation method for iOS 17.0 discovered
The time has finally come… a way to install TrollStore on iOS & iPadOS 17.0 has finally been discovered, so anyone on this firmware should sit tight and wait.
While there’s no ETA for when this will be released, it seems to be coming, and this will unlock perma-signing apps on the latest firmware supported by TrollStore.
You can learn more about the new TrollStore installation method in our full news post.
Dopamine updates

Learn what’s new in these updates below:
palera1n updates
The palera1n checkm8 bootrom exploit-based jailbreak tool for iOS & iPadOS 15, 16, and 17 was updated this past week with improvements.
Learn about the latest updates below:
One checkm8-vulnerable iPad can run iPadOS 18
It has been confirmed that at least one checkm8 bootrom exploit-vulnerable iPad — the iPad (7th generation) can still run Apple’s upcoming iPadOS 18 firmware.
This means that it may be possible to jailbreak this particular model, along with some Apple TV models that are both vulnerable to checkm8 and capable of running tvOS 18.
You can learn more about this in our full news post.
Hackers jailbreak checkm8-vulnerable iPadOS 18 and tvOS 18
Hackers associated with the palera1n jailbreak team have already showed off examples of the iPad (7th generation) running iPadOS 18 being jailbroken, as well as an Apple TV running tvOS 18 being jailbroken.
These devices are obviously susceptible to the checkm8 hardware-based bootrom exploit, which is the primary reason why this is possible. Newer devices are not yet jailbreakable on the newly announced firmware that has yet to be publicly released.
You can learn more about the details in our full news post.
TrollStore unlikely support iOS 18
In an upsetting bit of news, it seems that new security changes in iOS & iPadOS 18 will prevent TrollStore from ever being able to support Apple’s new firmware.
TrollInstallerX project lead developer @alfiecg_dev explains why in our full news post.
