Nugget, a popular device customization utility by iOS developer LeminLimez that uses the SparseRestore exploit instead of a full-fledged jailbreak, is apparently poised to receive an important update in the future.
LeminLimez shared that the upcoming Nugget version 5.0 release will incorporate fun and exciting new features for end users, including animated wallpapers and custom posterboard designs.
These new features, which will first roll out to Discord Nitro boosters and Ko-Fi donators as early as this weekend for beta testing, work with all versions of iOS & iPadOS 17, as well as iOS & iPadOS 18.0-18.4 beta.
Oh, and here’s another interesting tidbit: animated wallpapers enabled with Nugget v5 will appear natively under Collections in the iOS & iPadOS wallpapers preference pane, which means it won’t feel hacky – it’ll feel like it belongs there.
We’ll know more about Nugget v5 when it launches, especially since LeminLimez says more features are also coming soon. But for now, those animated wallpapers are so dope, we wanted all our readers to know they were coming.
