When it comes to the latest stories as it relates to iPhone and iPad hacks and/or jailbreaking, neveropen remains ever-committed to sharing information in breaking fashion.
While we cover the latest releases and updates in real time throughout the work week, we always come back on Sunday morning with a roundup just like this one, ensuring that our readers have access to the latest details, even if they couldn’t read about it because their busy lives got in the way.
With that in mind, this weekend’s roundup will encompass all the latest iPhone & iPad hacking and/or jailbreaking-centric news spanning the week of Monday, May 19th through Sunday, May 25th. We’ll begin with some of our favorite stories from this past week, and then close with a roundup of everything else afterward.
Important stuff from this past week
Fortnite mobile returns to App Store (for now)
Epic Games has gotten its day in court after a judge decided that Apple needed to allow app developers to offer in-app purchases via external methods that don’t force those same developers to pay the 15-30% Apple tax.
Since then, the developer’s Fortnite mobile game has been reinstated in the App Store. It was previously only available via sideloading or installing via AltStore PAL or the Epic Games Store in the European Union.

iOS 18.4.1 unsigned
Apple released the newer iOS & iPadOS 18.5 firmware last week, so it should come as no surprise that the company has chosen to stop signing iOS & iPadOS 18.4.1 this week.
By unsigning the older firmware, iPhone and iPad owners are no longer able to voluntarily downgrade their firmware. Apple plays this game to prevent downgrades to breached software that can be harnessed for jailbreaking, giving them more control over their user base.
