If you’re not up to speed with the news, recently the iOS Jailbreak community got a brand new release of 2 kernel exploits as part of the KFD project which is free and open-sourced on GitHub.
The new exploit works on iOS 15.0 all the way up to iOS 16.5 even on modern devices like iPhone 14, and the jailbreak community has been hard at work ever since the release.
Today, developers @sourcelocation and @bomberfish77 announced a Cowabunga / Mandela Pro alternative based on the KFD project that allows you to customize your device and install tweaks & themes without being jailbroken. Best of all? This cannot be detected by jailbreak detection in apps.
What is Picasso for iOS?
According to developers @sourcelocation and @bomberfish77, Picasso is a KFD-based toolbox app. This app essentially contains tweaks and themes that you can apply directly from the application.
Amongst the things you can do with Picasso, here are some of my favorites:

What devices are supported by Picasso?
Picasso supports all arm64e devices, which means everything newer than iPhone X is supported. Since this tool is based on the KFD exploit, it supports iOS 16.0 up to iOS 16.5 and iOS 16.6 Beta 1.
The following devices are all supported:
If you have any of the devices listed above, and you are running iOS 16.0 – 16.5 or iOS 16.6 Beta 1, you will be able to use Picasso and customize your device with tweaks and themes without a jailbreak.
In the meantime, a new similar tool called Chicken-Butt was released on GitHub.
What are the PROs and CONs of Picasso compared to a normal jailbreak?
To better illustrate the PROs and CONs of using Picasso compared to a traditional jailbreak, I’ve made the following side-by-side comparison.
PROs of Picasso
CONs of Picasso
As you can see, while Picasso does have its drawbacks, it’s a much more lightweight app and the fact that it passes jailbreak detection is a big bonus.
