It is that time of year again, when Spotify and YouTube, and yes, even Reddit, recaps everything you did over the past year. Those Reddit recaps are beginning to roll in right now on Android.

These are personalized recaps of everything you got up to on Reddit in 2024. Reddit shows your recap on a series of brightly animated cards. You can see how many posts you upvoted, your favorite topics and the communities in which you were most active, and your most popular posts. Reddit even compiles a ‘persona’ for you at the end, based on your activity (the Android Police news editor is a ‘techie’ apparently).
Here’s how you can see your personal Reddit recap
You can access your personalized Reddit recap by opening the mobile app, where you’ll see a bright banana icon on the top right next to your profile avatar. The recap should fire up. Simply swipe the cards up like you would a TikTok and enjoy the deep dive into your online life.
The 2024 Reddit Recap is only available on the official Reddit mobile app, for either Android or iOS.
Top posts of 2024 also arrives
Reddit has also started to release its Best of 2024 list, showcasing the most popular posts of the year. Reddit isn’t saying how they compiled this list but it seems to be growing and changing. The top three posts (according to Reddit) currently are:
1. r/lululemon: a woman trying on a new jacket and shorts from Lululemon received 48K upvotes.
2. r/watchpeopledieinside: Two dogs digging a hole in the backyard getting busted by their owner garnered 88K upvotes.
3. r/shamelesslystolen: A video of a woman with ‘thicc’ thighs sitting on a subway train received 34K upvotes.
Some of the other top posts include the German even-splitting competition, where contestants try to cut food items perfectly even, as well as footage of a meteor blasting over Portugal. r/nextf**kinglevel seems to feature a lot on the top posts, so that is definitely a sub worth checking out.
We didn’t cover the Reddit Recaps last year and we’re curious to see how this pans out, especially since Spotify, YouTube, and many of the other platforms are releasing their recaps and best-of lists right now. The fact that Reddit is keeping it in their official app might be contentious for some Redditors, so it is worth keeping your eye on.
