If you’re using a jailbroken iPhone and you’re interested in expanding the capacity of your Home Screen’s application Dock, then you might want to check out a free jailbreak tweak called FiveIconDock by iOS developer Maxiwee.
The name says it all; FiveIconDock allows you to have up to five applications in your Hone Screen’s application Dock at any given time, as depicted in the screenshot example above.
The idea behind adding more app icons to the Dock isn’t new; it’s been around for a very long time. This tweak is the latest iteration intended for the latest jailbreaks on the market today.
Giving users just one more slot can make workflows more convenient when they involve more than just four favorite or frequently-used applications.
It should also be noted that FiveIconDock is available for both rootful and rootless jailbreaks, which is great considering that some palera1n-c users are still using rootful instead of rootless on both iOS & iPadOS 15 and 16, while the upcoming Dopamine jailbreak for iOS & iPadOS 15.0-15.4.1 will be rootless in its entirety.
FiveIconDock is available as a free download from Maxiwee’s personal repository via any package manager app of your choosing and doesn’t come with any options to configure. The tweak supports jailbroken iOS & iPadOS 15 and 16 devices.
Anyone who isn’t already using Maxiwee’s personal repository can add it to their package manager app of choice by using the URL provided below:
