Vue.js is a progressive framework for building user interfaces. The core library is focused on the view layer only and is easy to pick up and integrate with other libraries. Vue is also perfectly capable of powering sophisticated Single-Page Applications in combination with modern tooling and supporting libraries.
Filters are a functionality provided by Vue components that can be used to apply formatting and transformations to any part of the template dynamic data. The filter property of the component is an object. A single filter is a function that accepts a value and returns another value. The returned value is the one that is actually printed in the Vue.js template. To capitalize string using we have to write string capitalization logic in filters and apply the filter on the required string.
Example:
index.html
< html > < head > < script src = </ script > </ head > < body > < div id = 'parent' > < h1 style = "color: green;" > neveropen </ h1 > < p >< strong >Name : </ strong > {{ name | capitalising }} </ p > < p >< strong >Details : </ strong > {{ details | capitalising }} </ p > </ div > < script src = 'app.js' ></ script > </ body > </ html > |
app.js
const parent = new Vue({ el: '#parent' , data: { name: "aISer wOLD" , details: "neveropen is a computer science portal\ with a huge variety of well written and\ explained computer science and programming\ articles, quizzes and interview questions.\ The portal also has dedicated GATE\ preparation and competitive programming\ sections." }, filters: { capitalising: function (data) { var capitalized = [] data.split( ' ' ).forEach(word => { capitalized.push( word.charAt(0).toUpperCase() + word.slice(1).toLowerCase() ) }) return capitalized.join( ' ' ) } } }) |
