Underscore.js _.gt() Method

The _.gt() Method checks whether each argument is greater than its next argument.

Syntax:

_.gt( val1, val2,..., valn );

Parameters: This method takes n values to operate on them.

Return Value: This method returns a Boolean value.

Note: This will not work in normal JavaScript because it requires the underscore.js contrib library to be installed. 

underscore.js contrib library can be installed using npm install underscore-contrib –save.

Example 1: 

Javascript




// Defining underscore contrib variable
var _ = require('underscore-contrib'); 
  
  
var greater  = _.gt(4, 1);
  
console.log(" Each argument is greater than"+
            " its next argument :",greater);


Output:

Each argument is greater than its next argument : true

Example 2:

Javascript




// Defining underscore contrib variable
var _ = require('underscore-contrib'); 
  
  
var greater  = _.gt(4, 1, 4);
  
console.log(" Each argument is greater than"+
            " its next argument :",greater);


Output:

Each argument is greater than its next argument: false

Example 3: 

Javascript




// Defining underscore contrib variable
var _ = require('underscore-contrib'); 
  
  
var greater  = _.gt(4, 3, 1);
  
console.log(" Each argument is greater than"+
            " its next argument :",greater);


Output:

Each argument is greater than its next argument : true
