The Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra is one of Samsung’s most capable tablets, with an enormous display, powerful processor, and top specs across the board. It’s also expensive, and a bit more unwieldy than most others due to its size. So it’s especially important to get the level of protection you need for day-to-day use.

While there aren’t a ton to choose from (and some typical top choices are absent for now), some of our favorite brands offer consistently manufactured models to suit (almost) any needs.

  • Spigen Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra GlasTR EZ FIT screen protector
Spigen GlasTR EZ FIT for Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra
    Best overall

Few big-name brands offer covers for the gigantic Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, but Spigen does, and its quality shows. It consists of premium, consistently cut glass, and includes an installation frame that takes some of the edge off the most challenging part of getting a screen protector to work right on such a big device.

Zagg InvisibleShield Glass Elite for Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra
    Premium pick
    $63 $70 Save $7

Zagg consistently makes some of the finest screen protectors, including this one for Samsung’s laptop-replacement tablet. It’s as smooth, fingerprint-free, durable, and clear as they get, with a great balance of both scratch and crack resistance, but only invest in it if you’re confident in your installation abilities — because it’s really expensive and comes as just a single unit.

  • Supershieldz Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra matte film
Supershieldz Matte Film for Galaxy S9 Tab Ultra
    Best value

Somewhere between soft TPU and shiny, tempered glass, the matte PET material making up this low-cost Supershieldz screen protector minimizes the risk scratches and nicks, while also reducing reflections. The slightly more forgiving installation process makes it one of the most economical ways to prevent screen damage to you Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra.

  • A render of Moko's magnetically attached paper-like Galaxy Tab S9 screen cover
Moko Removable Paper Film for Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra
    Best for drawing

There’s nothing like drawing on real paper, but a paper-like screen cover is the next best thing. They’re not ideal for constant use, though, so we highly recommend this detachable paperfeel cover that attaches via two magnetic strips. You can also opt for the adhesive version if you prefer, but either way, make sure to get some non-wearing stylus tips along with it.

  • A render of the ArmorSuit MilitaryShield Max screen protector for the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra
ArmorSuit MilitaryShield Max for Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra
    $16 $17 Save $1

The TPU used in ArmorSuit’s popular MilitaryShield lineup provides soft-touch protection from scratches, and can actually heal itself from minor damage over time, or by applying a little hot air. This Max Coverage version stretches all the way from edge to edge, which prevents the use of some tightly fitting cases, but is perfect for people who use vinyl wraps or no body protection at all.

  • ZtotopCases Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra screen protector
ZtotopCases Screen Protector for Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra
    $30 $37 Save $7

If you’re at all apprehensive about sticking a screen cover to your 15-inch tablet in one piece and without any bubbles or dust (which is a reasonable worry), this two-pack from ZtotopCases can set you right. It’s not any fancier than typical tempered glass, but won’t interfere with touch performance and can prevent disaster in case of short drops.

  • Magglass Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra screen protector

From relatively well-known case manufacturer Encased, the MagGlass tempered glass lineup offers more trustworthy security than most. The brand’s real-world testing boasts includes a 6-foot drop, side-by-side touchscreen and stylus sensitivity, and fingerprint reader performance (as long as you re-enter your biometric information after installing the screen protector).

  • A render of the Skinomi MatteSkin Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra screen protector and its box
Skinomi MatteSkin for Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra

Until Samsung implements Gorilla Glass Armor within its Galaxy Tab lineup, the only way to reduce glare is with a matte screen protector like this one from Skinomi. It doesn’t offer a ton of crack protection, but prevents nicks and gouges and can heal itself from minor scratches. While it will affect brightness ever so slightly, it also allows for use in the sun.

  • Supershieldz Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra tempered glass protector
Supershieldz Tempered Glass Protector for Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra

Screen protectors this size tend to be pretty expensive, but Supershieldz shows up yet again with the most affordable option made from tempered glass. It doesn’t significantly upgrade smudge prevention or glare resistance, but it might save you considerable money on repairs. Like most of its competition, though, it only includes one screen protector — so don’t screw it up the first time.

Find a Tab S9 Ultra screen protector that’s easy to install

One of the biggest of the best Android tablets, it’s not the easiest to find the perfect accessories for the Tab S9 Ultra. Screen protectors are extra tricky, because no matter how good one is, it can still be a big challenge to get it on just right, without any infuriating bubbles or dust specks. That’s one reason, along with material quality, that the Spigen gets our top pick — it’s the only one yet with a full-body installation bracket.

You can opt for the Zagg Glass Elite if you really want top-shelf materials exceeding even the Spigen’s, but it’s not the easiest investment at $60 for just one glass leaf. At the other end of the spectrum, Supershieldz’ PET cover confers a good level of protection, while including three actual protectors that are just flexible enough to lower the risk of cracking.

We’re also excited to point out the Moko paper-like model. It’s among the rare removable screen covers, which provides a tactile response similar to paper, but lets you take it off when you want to use your tablet for anything else. If you’d rather just set it and forget it, Moko offers a sticky one, too.

No Worn Out Titanium S Pen Nibs

Paper-feel screen protectors, as well as some matte anti-glare versions, can be awfully hard on stylus tips. These titanium replacements will keep your S Pen in perpetual working order, just don’t use them on the actual screen glass.

No matter which paper-feel cover you choose, take note that paper-like screen protectors wear down stylus nibs with surprising quickness. Make sure to pick up some titanium-alloy stylus nib replacements if you go this route, but do not by any means use them when the cover’s detached, since they’ll gouge the display glass.

Once your screen’s covered, consider a Tab S9 Ultra-specific case, or one of the many Galaxy Tab-recommended accessories. It’s also worth looking into a tablet stand or mount, to get the most out of your versatile device, no matter your use case.
