What’s the difference between the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic?

For the most part, both of Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 6 series are very similar, with only a few differences to note that can help determine which one you should go for. They both run on the same Exynos W930 Dual Core 1.4Ghz processor, feature the same 2GB of RAM, and even have the same battery. However, the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic features a stainless steel casing instead of the aluminum casing the Galaxy Watch 6 features, meaning it’s a bit more durable in the long run.

The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic also features a larger screen size, with a 43mm and 47mm option available over the Galaxy Watch 6’s 40mm and 44mm. Both Galaxy Watch 6 bands also differ, with the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic featuring a leather band instead of the standard sport band, which offers a much more premium look and feel for those who want something that’s both stylish and functional.

When did the Galaxy Watch 6 come out?

Both watches were announced during the Samsung Unpacked event on July 26, 2023, and were officially released into the wild on August 11, 2023. So, while we are more than ten months out from its initial release, these are still current. But if you’re someone that wants the latest in tech and can wait to purchase one, it might be a good idea to wait until summer, when Samsung could announce the Galaxy Watch 7 series. But, from what we’ve seen in the past, the differences could be relatively minor.
