ElleKit, the tweak injection method utilized by default on the Dopamine jailbreak for arm64e devices running iOS & iPadOS 15.0-15.4.1, and optionally on the palera1n jailbreak for arm64 devices running iOS & iPadOS 15.0-17.x, received an important update on Monday to version 1.1.1.
The latest update to ElleKit, which was announced by way of a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) Monday evening by iOS developer @dhinakg, appears to introduce the following changes and improvements:
– Fix logging being enabled even when .ekenablelogging did not exist (this can lead to giant log files on palera1n)
– iOS & iPadOS 17.4 beta 1 support (by @opa334dev)
– Improve jailbreak detection code
– Change Safe Mode alert to “Exit Safe Mode” and “Dismiss” (by @icrazeios)
– Show Sade Mode alert when tapping the Status Bar on SpringBoard (by @icrazeios)
– Delete log file (if it exists) when installing/upgrading ElleKit
– Fix log path on rootful
If you’re an existing ElleKit user, then it’s strongly recommended that you install this update to the package because it’s a critical part of your jailbreak and the backbone of your jailbreak tweaks. For that reason, it’s a package that you want to keep updated so that you have the best bug fixes and improvements.
This update is particularly important for the fact that it prevents massive log files from accumulating and wasting your device’s precious storage space. But more than that, it seems to also reduce jailbreak detection and make improvements to Safe Mode – the mode you get when a jailbreak tweak breaks your system.
To upgrade, you can launch the Sileo or Zebra package manager that was installed with your jailbreak, refresh your sources, and you should be prompted to install ElleKit v1.1.1 if your jailbreak already relies on ElleKit for tweak injection.
