Where’s Andy? August 2020

August snuck up on me rather fast, and we’re already into the second week of the month. But I’m happy to share that community events are still in full swing!

New Stars of Data Conference

This Friday, August 14th, I have the honor of being one of the moderators for New Stars of Data! Anyone who knows me knows that I’m extremely passionate about growing new speakers. So, when this conference was announced, I jumped at the chance to volunteer and help out.

This conference will run in both EMEA and US times, with three simultaneous tracks. 20 speakers will be presenting sessions, and I’m quite excited about the lineup! I’ll be moderating Track 1, which starts at 8:00AM EDT.

Check out the full schedule and register now!

How Did July Go?

Last month, I shared a bit about debuting my new session, “Advanced Plan Explorer Usage for Tuning Execution Plans.” I’m thrilled to say that it went really well! In all honesty, the session was still rather rough, due to life getting in the way, but it came together. I’m looking forward to refining it further and presenting it again later this month!
