We are currently experiencing some very challenging times as a society. So, I wanted to share some special moments that were captured by the SentryOne team earlier this year to inspire positivity and creative selflessness. At the very least, I hope these stories put a smile on your face.

“Earlier this year, SentryOne was named a 2019 Gallup Great Workplace Award winner. As Jenn Miller, Vice President of Human Resources at SentryOne, mentions in the announcement, there are many things that go into cultivating an award-winning culture. One of those things is the SentryOne Engagement and Leadership (SEAL) team. The SEAL team focuses on employee engagement, wellness, volunteer opportunities, donations, celebrations, food events, and more.”

Paying It Forward
The SEAL team offers unique philanthropic initiatives that help the community in fun, creative ways. Earlier this year, the SEAL team launched an initiative focused on spreading and inspiring love. Each SentryOne team member was given a $10 bill to use however they saw fit to brighten someone else’s day.
The instructions for this activity were intentionally vague to foster creativity and imagination. This project was coined Show Your S1 Love. A Slack channel was created so that team members could easily share with one another how they showed their SentryOne love and inspire others to make a difference in someone’s day. The results were truly heartwarming. Below, I share some of the conversations that took place in the #show-your-s1-love Slack channel.
As you can see, there are many ways to brighten someone’s day and make a difference in your community by letting people know that you appreciate them and see their hard work and contributions. The smallest act of kindness can not only go a lot further than you might think but also inspire others to pay the good fortune forward to someone in their life.
Most of us want to feel seen and be reminded that we matter, and it doesn’t take much effort to do just that. (Plus, it will brighten your day to do it, too!) I hope this blog post motivates you to perform an act of kindness for someone today and every day.
