It is an annual Hackathon conducted by TCS Cognitive Business Operations (CBO) who is a global leader in providing Datacenter, Cloud, and Digital Workplace Transformation Solutions. Through this contest, the participants will experience some of these cutting-edge technologies and will be mentored by the key SME Team who would be guiding the participants through each stage of the contest.
Now, before moving further, let’s first take a look at the required qualifications or academic background to participate in the contest:
- B. Tech/BE/M. Tech/ME – all disciplines from batches of 2021, 2022, and 2023.
- Other Bachelor/Master degree courses (B.Sc. / M.Sc. / MCA / BCA) in CS & IT from batches of 2021 and 2022.
Apart from the above-mentioned academic criteria, there are few guidelines also that you need to follow:
- You must have to register on TCS Campus Commune for participation in this contest.
- TCS will not reimburse any project cost you have to take care of it by yourself.
- You need to participate individually in this competition.
- You can present the virtual models of your hardware project.
Contest Rounds:
The contest will consist of 3 rounds mentioned below in detail:
1. Online Quiz
- This will be an MCQ based test on Computer Science and Information Technology
- No negative marking in this round
- There will be a specified time for every question and the overall time taken to solve all the question will also be calculated for evaluation
- This will consist of 3 levels:

2. Prototype Submission & Video Presentation
- Those who qualify in round 1 will be eligible to take part in this round.
- You will have to submit a prototype for the solution to a problem. The problem needs to be chosen from the ones given by TCS.
- A sample problem statement and sample solution will be provided for reference – closer to the start of the round.
- It is mandatory to show a working model based on the problem you have chosen.
- The prototype needs to be submitted in form of a PDF or Word Document of around 500 words statement
- You also would have to upload a video on YouTube of around 15-30 min showing your Working Model Architecture/ Prototype of the same.
- The submission needs to have the following mandatory details: Hardware-Software used, Technology used, High-level architecture, Approach to the solution, Flow chart of the solution, Code (Github), YouTube link of video as mentioned above.
Note: Your video should be “Unlisted” on YouTube.
3. Hackathon & Grand Finale
- The top 20 students will go for the final round (Hackathon). They will start their work from scratch here. An interview round will also be conducted.
- This round will be conducted either virtually or you may go to the nearest TCS office to compete.
- You should have a good network connection and Webcam to compete virtually.
- If you want to go to the TCS office and then compete you will be provided with all the infrastructure.

The steps to register for the TCS InfraMind Season 4 2020 are mentioned below-
- Make an account on the TCS NextStep portal and campuscommune.tcs.com.
- Then on your dashboard, linked with your account on campuscommune.tcs.com, you will find a link to register for TCS InfraMind if registrations are open.
- You can directly press the Register button.
- You will be prompted to verify your phone number, do verify it.
- After this, you will be directed again to your dashboard and Registered status will appear against TCS Inframind.
