The Gmagick::thumbnailImage() function is an inbuilt function in PHP which is used to changes the size of an image to the given dimensions and removes any associated profiles. This function is used to produce small, low-cost thumbnail images suited for display on the Web. If $fit parameter is set to True then row and column parameter used maximum side. Both sides will be scaled until the match or are smaller than the parameter given for the side.
Syntax:
public Gmagick::thumbnailimage( $width, $height, $fit = FALSE ] )
Parameters: This function accepts three parameters as mentioned above and described below:
- $width: This parameter is used to set the image width.
- $height: This parameter is used to set the image height.
- $fit: This parameter describes whether takes the boolean value.
Return Value: This function returns Gmagick object on success.
Errors/Exceptions: This function throws GmagickException on error.
