In this article, we are going to discuss how we can archive posts in WordPress.
Let’s see the steps to how to archive posts in WordPress Easily and Quickly :
Step 1: First login into WordPress dashboard. For that, go to the WordPress login panel and try to log in to the WordPress Dashboard by entering the username and password. To access the WordPress login panel you can add /wp-login.php to the end of the website URL that you want to access.
After entering the username and password and login into WordPress, the user will be able to see a dashboard like this:
Step 2: Now search for All Posts in the menu and open the All Posts. To open All Posts, for that: In the menu option on the left side of the WordPress window, you will find many options. Then go to the Posts>> All Posts.
After clicking on All Posts on the dropdown menu, you will see a similar All Posts section like this:
Step 3: From the all Posts section, you need to select and open the Post you want to archive.
Click on the “more horiz” button for the selected page you want to archive then click on ‘Edit’ to edit to the Post. Or Directly Click on the Post you want to archive.
After selecting and opening the Post by clicking on Edit, you will see a similar Post editor window as shown in the following screenshot:
Step 4: Now click on the Visibility – Public button on the Post section of the page. After clicking on the Public, you will find all options in the Visibility section.
Now select the Private radio button in the Post Visibility section, you will find the post will automatically get updated. Before updating Pop message will appear for permission “Would you like to privately publish this post now?”. Click on the ‘OK’ Button.
After clicking on the ‘OK’ button, You will get Post updated message with a View page link on the Post.
