In this article, we are going to see how to disable the export of the canvas Rect using FabricJS. The canvas Rect means Rect is movable and can be stretched according to requirement. Further, the Rect can be customized when it comes to initial stroke color, height, width, fill color, or stroke width.
To make this possible we are going to use a JavaScript library called FabricJS. After importing the library, we will create a canvas block in the body tag which will contain the Rect. After this, we will initialize instances of Canvas and Rect provided by FabricJS and disable the canvas click movement property of canvas Rect using excludeFromExport property and render the Rect on the Canvas as given below.
Syntax:
fabric.Rect({ width: number, height: number, excludeFromExport: boolean });
Parameters: This property accepts a single parameter as mentioned above and described below:
- excludeFromExport: When `true`, the object is not exported in OBJECT/JSON.
The below example illustrates the excludeFromExport in Fabric.js:
Example:
HTML
<!DOCTYPE html> < html > < head > <!-- Adding the FabricJS library --> < script src = </ script > </ head > < body > < div style = "text-align: center;width: 600px;" > < h1 style = "color: green;" > neveropen </ h1 > < b > Fabric.js | Rect excludeFromExport Property </ b > </ div > < canvas id = "canvas" width = "600" height = "200" style = "border:1px solid #000000" > </ canvas > < script > // Initiate a Canvas instance var canvas = new fabric.Canvas("canvas"); // Initiate a Rect instance var rectangle = new fabric.Rect({ width: 200, height: 100, fill: '', stroke: 'green', strokeWidth: 3, excludeFromExport: 'false' }); // Render the Rect in canvas canvas.add(rectangle); canvas.centerObject(rectangle); </ script > </ body > </ html > |
Output:
