The geoAugust() function in d3.js is used to draw the August’s epicycloidal conformal projection of the given geojson data.
Syntax:
d3.geoAugust()
Parameters: This method does not accept any parameters.
Returns: This method returns August’s epicycloidal conformal projection.
Example 1: The following example draws August’s epicycloidal conformal projection of Asia.
HTML
<!DOCTYPE html> < html > < head > </ script > < script src = </ script > </ head > < body > < div style = "width:800px; height:400px;" > < center > < h4 style = "color:green" > August Projection of Asia </ h4 > </ center > < svg width = "500" height = "300" > </ svg > </ div > < script > var svg = d3.select("svg"), width = +svg.attr("width"), height = +svg.attr("height"); // August projection var gfg = d3.geoAugust() .scale(width / 1.5 / Math.PI) .translate([width / 2, height / 2]); // Loading the geojson data d3.json("https://raw.githubusercontent.com/" + "janasayantan/datageojson/master/" + "geoasia.json", function (data) { // Draw the map svg.append("g") .selectAll("path") .data(data.features) .enter().append("path") .attr("fill", "grey") .attr("d", d3.geoPath() .projection(gfg) ) .style("stroke", "#ffff") }); </ script > </ body > </ html > |
Output:
