I’ve received quite a few inquiries about my iPod touch’s battery over the last few days. More specifically, people want to know exactly how I got new battery icon with the battery percentage in the middle.
This is the result of an upcoming jailbreak tweak called Live Battery Icon. It ditches the standard battery icon for a new-fangled circular indicator with the battery percentage neatly situated in the center.
Live Battery Icon is from developer, Philip Wong, and although he’s provided no ETA, he says it will be available in the near future. My experience thus far has been pretty good. It doesn’t provide any new functionality, but it’s an interesting departure from the stock battery icon. Even better, it provides iPod touch users with a battery percentage, which they otherwise don’t have.
What do you think?
