Jailbreak tweaks of the week: AutoWall, Dimage, Hive, & more

Jailbreak Tweaks to check outJailbreak Tweaks to check out

If you have a jailbroken handset and you’re looking for new and exciting ways to customize it, then you’ve come to the right place.

This roundup will encompass all the latest jailbreak tweaks released in Cydia from Monday, January 21st to Sunday, January 27th. As usual, we’ll kick things off by discussing our favorite releases first and then outline the rest for you afterward.

Our favorite releases this week

Appstore Unrestrict – FREE

App updates are inevitable, and you don’t always have access to Wi-Fi. That said, it’s somewhat annoying how iOS limits App Store updates over a cellular network to 150MB or less per app.

You can easily get around this silly restriction, however, with a free jailbreak tweak called Appstore Unrestrict.

You can learn more about how the tweak works in our full review.

AutoWall – FREE

Apple hit the nail on the head when with macOS Mojave’s dynamic wallpaper. As time moves throughout the day, macOS intelligently changes the wallpaper image to make it seem as if the sunlight shifts directions over the Mojave Desert background. By nighttime, the wallpaper becomes dark.

Given just how innovative and fascinating this wallpaper is on the macOS platform, wouldn’t it be nice if you could achieve something similar on iOS? If you answered “yes,” then you should check out a free jailbreak tweak called AutoWall.

With AutoWall, you can configure several different wallpaper images that change throughout the day, depending on the time. You can learn more about how it works and how to configure it in our full review.

Dimage – $1.50

Dark Mode-centric jailbreak tweaks are great, but their weakness becomes evident when you’re suddenly exposed to a bright image. These can appear almost anywhere, from your Camera Roll, to the internet, to your text messages.

A new jailbreak tweak called Dimage hopes to end this eye-searing experience by automatically dimming images that would otherwise be considered too bright. The tweak is fully-customizable, allowing you to set a custom dim amount and more.

You can learn more about Dimage and how it works in our full review.

Hive – FREE

Even if you’re accustomed to using Face ID or Touch ID to authenticate yourself for your iPhone or iPad, you undoubtedly interface with the passcode entry screen at one point or another.

Hive brings a fascinating new aesthetic to the iOS passcode entry screen, and as it would seem, it’s inspired by hexagonal honeycombs found in beehives (hence the name).

You can learn more about Hive and how it can be customized in our full review.

WishDia – FREE

When compared to other online stores, one thing the Cydia app lacks is a wish list for saving your most-wanted jailbreak tweaks and extensions for later.

WishDia is a free jailbreak tweak that solves this problem by integrating a full-featured wish list in the Cydia app. It appears as a button from the main page, and tapping it brings you to a list of all the jailbreak tweaks and extensions you’ve added to it previously.

You can learn more about WishDia and where to get it in our full review.
