The main page in Cydia has looked nearly the same for as long as we can remember, and that might be considered a good thing or a bad thing, depending on your personal taste.
Those looking for something a bit more refreshing might be interested in a new free jailbreak tweak called ReCydia by iOS developer Ryu.
ReCydia is effectively a subtle redesign for Cydia’s homepage with an improved focus on package discovery. It replaces the standard rows of information with curated galleries containing recommended themes and jailbreak tweaks.
At first glance, it looks just like something we’d expect to see in the modern App Store, but this is the first time we’ve seen something of this caliber in the Cydia Store.
ReCydia focuses all its attention on the Cydia homepage, so other tabs like Changes and Sources look the same as they did before installation. Regardless, you might notice that the tabs themselves look a bit different, and that’s because ReCydia gives them a slight facelift:
Citing the developer, ReCydia is entirely free and isn’t ad-supported. That said, it offers a ton of cosmetic benefits without riddling your device with unwanted pop-ups and banners that you might inadvertently tap on.
If you’ve been searching for a fresh tak on Cydia, then you can download ReCydia for free from Cydia’s Packix repository. The tweak doesn’t come with any options to configure and works with all jailbroken iOS 10 and 11 devices.
